Louis Moutet founded Etablissements Mélan Moutet in Pignans to manufacture corks for still wines.
This was the beginning of a family story to which further activities were added over the generations.
1946 Société Champenoise des Lièges
PPierre Mélan Moutet founded Société Champenoise des Lièges in Reims dedicated to the manufacture of Champagne corks.
This visionary, innovative family patented the Securit Sealing Cartridge invented by J Giraudeau.
1955 Société Technique des Bouchages Plastique
A new family company was founded to manufacture and sell the Securit cartridge, better known as the Bidule.
1961 Société Champenoise des Lièges diversified and sold crowns manufactured in the Vosges by Solocap Mab.
Founded in Lamarche in 1928, the company moved to Neufchâteau in 1930, then to Vittel, and produced wine and mineral water corks and caps.
